    Our History
Saigei was formed in 2003 expressly to help NHS clinicians and professionals address operational challenges resulting from increasing demand, finite resources and a complex policy landscape.

With each passing year we acquire a deeper appreciation of the complexity inherent in the health care system:

    • Interdependency not just between parts of the health economy but also with other groups like Social Care, patients’ families, and the third sector.

    • The practical challenge of designing and delivering joined up care for patients with on-going needs when organisations and finances are aligned to discrete interventions or to episodes of care.

    • The financial uncertainty that comes from being in transition to a deregulated competitive economy and the inherent shortcomings of the tariff mechanism.

    • The strategic uncertainty and compliance overhead that derives from being a Political entity.

    • The organisational challenge of aligning many legitimate yet disparate interests in what is essentially a 100% consensus environment.

Necessarily then we have extended our scope of operations to include Social Care, mental healthcare and private providers to the health service.  And in doing so, we have developed a peculiar ability to draw together a working consensus across organisational boundaries and convert this into direction, commitment and ultimately better outcomes for patients, clients, service users and staff.

Throughout that time, we have never lost sight of our founding purpose: to provide Action Based Answers that make a difference to patients and front-line staff, and not simply written advice.
