Public sector economics and demographic changes mean that the Health Service must find ways to drive efficiency and move from instances of treatment to disease management and preventative care. The NHS must survive this change or we will have lost something uniquely good.
We believe - and increasingly can show - that the quality : value conundrum is solved when the people that make up the NHS focus on their patients: not on contracting with commercial operators from abroad.
We think patients want engaged staff collaborating across the artificial boundaries that permeate health and social care but policy, regulation, organisational form and conflicting priorities obscure this truth.
By taking action that resolves these issues we believe we are doing something profound with our time.
